Nothing's every easy....

Well, I've spent most of the week trying to get over a cold so I haven't really felt much like spending time in the garage.

I finally went out yesterday to swap my supercharger pulley and one of the idlers -- going from the 3.2" pulley to a 3.4" pulley (the stock pulley is 3.8" -- the smaller the pulley on the supercharger the more boost (and heat) it produces). Of course, I forgot that I'd put a phenolic spacer between my supercharger and the lower intake; so my SC belt won't fit with the larger pulley. Figures...

Oh well -- I got a new belt from Advance Auto that's 1" longer. Hopefully that'll go on a bit later this afternoon in addition to 6 new spark plugs. Once that's all done I need to clean my air filter and let my car's PCM re-learn it's calibration data since I uploaded a new program to it today.

As much as I really like my car; there is something to be said for keeping one's daily driver relatively stock...
