A great night at the track!

I am so glad that I made it to Bandimere on Wednesday. I was having a really rough time and almost didn't go. I got 3 pretty good runs in; including an all-time personal best. I was pretty amazed considering the amount of time (not much) I've spent on my car this race season. My first run as 13.714 @ 102.15; #2 was 13.815 @ 102.88 and #3 was 13.988 @ 102.51.

There was a bit of drama between my second and third run -- as I was waiting in the staging lanes I watched a high-power Camaro launch in the left lane and noticed that his rear-end was "really squirrelly" -- he had a hard time keeping it from trying to come around. Sure enough, as soon as I looked away the guy lost control and hit the RIGHT wall head-on, bounced off it and then smacked into the left wall. Thankfully, the other racer was on his toes and managed to get his car stopped in time to avoid a collision. It took about an hour to get the track cleaned up; they had to put the Camaro's rear end on dollies and used a front-end loader to lift the front end off the ground and tow it away. Thankfully, Bandimere does keep emergency personnel on-site during events and medical attention was onsite within 1 minute of the incident.

Very hip, congratz on the best time!

Is really squirelly a technical term? If so I plan on using it more often, in every day situations.
